Performing Arts
From drama to dance a performing arts facility requires specialist areas. Theatres with appropriate seating that comply with relevant national codes for performance and gathering venues, appropriate acoustics and sight lines, good access to seating and egress, along with the essential back of house facilities for stage, and projection facilities. Front of house lobby areas that enable both public access and from within the institution, both require security considerations. Support facilities such as reception, administration, catering facilities, amenities, change rooms and storage facilities must all be considered. Performing arts also requires specialist rooms from dance, black box theatres, and tutorial rooms. Spatial planning is critical.
